Terms of Use

You may use the converters and guides on this site free of charge, for personal or commercial work, without attribution. The tools are provided as they are, with no warranty, and you remain responsible for the files you process and for keeping your own backups.

1. Acceptance

By using jfifconverter.net you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Permitted use

The converters may be used for personal and commercial purposes at no cost, with no limit on volume and no attribution required. You do not need our permission to convert files for a client, an employer or a product.

You may not: attempt to disrupt or overload the site; scrape it systematically in a way that degrades service for others; rebadge or embed the tools as your own service; or use the site to process material you have no legal right to process.

3. Your files remain yours

We claim no rights over anything you convert. Because conversion happens entirely in your browser, we never receive your files and never hold a copy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the material you convert, and for complying with any copyright, privacy or confidentiality obligations attached to it.

4. Keep your originals

Always keep the original file until you have checked the converted one. Conversion runs in your browser and depends on your device's memory and your browser's image decoder; a very large file or an unusual encoding can fail. We cannot recover a file we never had.

5. No warranty

The site and the tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any conversion will produce a result acceptable for a particular use.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for data loss, arising from use of this site — including loss of an original file where no backup was kept. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Accuracy of the guides

We work hard to make the technical content accurate and cite primary specifications throughout — see our editorial policy. Even so, the guides are general information, not professional advice for your specific situation. Instructions that modify your operating system, such as editing the Windows registry, are followed at your own risk; back up first.

8. Our content

The text, design and source code of this site are our copyright. You may quote short passages with a link back. You may not republish substantial portions of the guides, or redeploy the converter code as a competing service, without written permission.

JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WebP, PDF and other format names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. This site is independent and not affiliated with them.

9. Advertising

The site is funded by third-party display advertising. Advertisements are not endorsements, and we have no control over the products advertised. Your dealings with an advertiser are between you and them.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be dated here and noted in the changelog. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and nothing in them removes any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
