Privacy Policy

Your image files are never uploaded, stored or seen by us — all conversion happens inside your browser. The only data this site touches is standard web server logs and, where enabled, advertising and analytics cookies described below.

1. Your files

Files you convert never leave your device. This is not a policy commitment we are asking you to trust — it is a property of how the site is built. There is no upload endpoint on this domain, and no server-side conversion code. Your browser reads the file from your disk, converts it in memory, and hands the result back to you.

Consequently we cannot see your images, cannot store them, cannot be compelled to hand them over, and have nothing to delete if you ask us to. If you want to verify this: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, convert a file, and observe that no request is made. Or disconnect from the internet and convert anyway.

2. What we do collect

Server logs

Our web host records standard request logs: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring page, user agent and response status. These are used for security and to diagnose faults, and are retained for a short period before deletion. They are not used to build a profile of you.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled on this site, it is a privacy-focused, cookie-free service that records aggregate page views and referrers without setting identifiers or tracking you between sites. No personal data is collected and no cross-site profile is built.

Advertising

The site is funded by display advertising. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and may use them for personalisation depending on your consent and your region.

We never share your image files with advertisers, because we never have them.

3. Data stored on your own device

The site may store small preferences in your browser's localStorage — for example your chosen colour theme and default output format. This never leaves your device and is not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

4. What we never do

  • We do not require an account, an email address or any personal detail to use any tool.
  • We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
  • We do not run a contact form, so we do not hold submitted messages beyond ordinary email.
  • We do not use fingerprinting, session recording or heatmap tools.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal data held about you. In practice we hold almost nothing: no account records, no uploaded files, no message archive beyond email. To exercise any right, or to ask what we hold, write to [email protected].

The legal basis for processing server logs is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. The basis for personalised advertising, where applicable, is your consent.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since no account or personal detail is required to use the tools, there is no mechanism by which such data would be collected.

7. Links to other sites

We link to specification documents and vendor documentation. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

8. Changes to this policy

Material changes are dated here and recorded in the changelog. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
